About

I am Michal Zarzecki, the founder of LArch, a landscape architect and an active resident of East Preston, West Sussex.

Originally trained in Biology (BSc MSc), my main areas of interest are reptiles, plants and landscape ecology. Inspired by English experiences in habitat creation, I extended my education into landscape architecture to boost biodiversity through design.

I began my career as a freelance garden designer in my home country of Poland. After moving to the UK, I gained professional experience in various areas of landscape architecture. My drive to lead a landscape-focused lifestyle and build unique professional relationships motivated me to set up LArch in 2021. With experience spanning commercial, domestic, public, and community-led projects, I thrive as part of multidisciplinary project teams.

Proudly a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute in the UK and a member of the Association of Landscape Architecture (SAK), Poland. Additionally, I support my Polish friends as a delegate to the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA).

My passion for landscape architecture and biodiversity extends well beyond my professional practice as I am involved in a number of community-led projects around Worthing area.
